The Division of Epidemiology plays a vital role in producing and developing field epidemiology professionals to strengthen the country’s disease surveillance, prevention, and control systems. Since 1980, the Field Epidemiology Training Program Development Group has continuously implemented the Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) for physicians and public health professionals. This year marks the 47th cohort of the program.
On this occasion, we were honored by the presence of Dr. Prayoon Kunasol, one of the co-founders of FETP Thailand, together with more than 30 FETP alumni, who joined the session to share their experiences and perspectives on becoming field epidemiologists with the new trainees. The activity aimed to prepare participants for their professional journey in field epidemiology and to support the effective application of knowledge in strengthening Thailand’s public health system.
